DLV announces Green Farming Kenya seminar |
WAGENINGEN, the Netherlands, July 26, 2010: DLV Plant, a leading organisation providing advisory services to farmers, private organisations and national and international public institutions, has announced its Green Farming Kenya seminar which will be held on August 27th at the premises of Hoogendoorn Growth Management (greenhouse irrigation and automation).
The seminar, from well respected industry figures, will provide visitors with information about the three-year project Green Farming Kenya which aims at strengthening the market position of Dutch horticultural suppliers and advisors.
Backed by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Green Farming Kenya includes a series of activities such as a trade mission in September 2010, participation in trade shows and a large demonstration project.
Above all Green Farming Kenya aims to highlight the fact that the Dutch horticulture sector is very well renowned and seen as an innovative, environmentally friendly industry with high standards of excellence throughout the world. The Green Farming Kenya message is that Dutch horticulture know-how and expertise has grown and developed gradually in the past few decades and is now also available in East Africa. Dutch supplier and industry organisations AVAG, Bosman, Hoogendoorn, Wageningen Greenhouse Horticulture, Frans van Zaal, Genap, Grodan, Hartenboer-Water, Horticoop, Hortus Supplies, Kopper, PB Techniek, UFO Supplies and the Van der Knaap Group are offering their services under the banner of “Green Farming”. Green Farming combines Dutch technology and experience with specific production needs, so that the grower can rest assured of a totally custom-made product and service package, including on-farm training programs, maintenance and service cycles.
